[2026-0827] LINE Games announced on the 27th the upcoming release of Demo 2.0 for its self-developed premium survivor-like title "Ember and Blade," while officializing its launch plans on Microsoft’s console platform, Xbox.

Slated for release on September 3, "Ember and Blade" Demo 2.0 focuses on completing a deeper and renewed action mechanism. The framework of "combat," the core element of the game, has been fully redesigned to provide a step-up in player experience.

First, combo actions utilizing light and heavy attack combinations have been introduced to heighten combat dynamism and tension. Additionally, to ensure a more intuitive gameplay experience, the concept of auto-firing sub-weapons has been removed.

The combat experience against monsters has also been expanded. Regular monster battles now feature varied dynamic stagings utilizing terrain elements, while boss-level monsters now trigger distinct visual effects when entering a groggy state, granting additional attack bonuses to maximize the pleasure of play.

Enemy movements and defeat effects have also been revamped. The combat AI has been upgraded to create scenarios where enemies pressure and encircle players from multiple angles, while visual effects upon defeating monsters have been enhanced to deliver a greater sense of impact.

Furthermore, action mechanics and sound effects for three major weapon types—Sword, Hammer, and Shotgun—have been fully overhauled. Beyond these, audio-visual action effects have been improved, the clarity of the 'ACT 1' environment enhanced, and new interactions added to bring vitality to the castle.

Meanwhile, LINE Games has officialized its launch plans for "Ember and Blade" on Microsoft's Xbox. As a result, in addition to PC platforms Steam and Epic Games Store, the game will also be playable across major console platforms PlayStation®5 and Xbox.

An official from LINE Games stated, "This 'Demo 2.0' is a large-scale overhaul built upon user feedback received since the early stages of development," adding, "We will do our utmost until the official launch to deliver a satisfying gameplay experience across each platform."
