LINE Games' Uncharted Waters Origin Unveils Two New Grade S Mates!

September 10, 2026 – LINE Games announced that it has implemented a content update, including the addition of new Mates, in Uncharted Waters Origin, co-developed by Motif and KOEI TECMO GAMES and serviced by LINE Games.   First, the new Grade S Mate 'James Lancaster', who can be hired through gameplay, has appeared. The new Grade S paid Mate 'Melati' has also been added and is available for purchase.   In addition, the game has introduced a feature called 'Luxury Inscription'.    'Luxury Inscription' lets players add an Inscription to Luxury Parts they own. Inscriptions can only be engraved on Luxury Parts that have been enhanced beyond a certain stage, and the effect of a Luxury Inscription may vary depending on the special Combine type and the equipped slot.   In addition, gameplay convenience improvements were implemented, including making the maximum stats from owned Appellations and Disguises apply at all times, increasing the number of buff stacks obtainable from using Religious Facilities, significantly boosting Prayer and Donation efficiency, and increasing the pirate appearance rate in certain regions.   In addition, the update includes a variety of balance improvements, including lowering the difficulty of bartering for the Box of Nutmeg and adding Grade 27 shipbuilding materials to Trade Points rewards.   Events filled with benefits will also be running through October 6. LINE Games' Uncharted Waters Origin Launches Investment Season 7: 'Waves of the Golden Archipelago'!

  August 11, 2026 – LINE Games (CEO Bae Yeong Jin) announced the unveiling of Investment Season 7: Waves of the Golden Archipelago in Uncharted Waters Origin, co-developed by Motif and KOEI TECMO GAMES (CEO Koinuma Hisashi) and serviced by LINE Games, and is holding a range of celebratory events to mark the 4th anniversary of the game's launch in Korea.   Investment Season 7: 'Waves of the Golden Archipelago' is scheduled to run until December 6. The 'Box of Nutmeg' has been added as a new barter item, and new special adventure locations where players can obtain Grade 27 shipbuilding materials, including Fort Oranje, Rhun Island Palisade, and Jakarta Battlegrounds, have been introduced, allowing players to enjoy season combat content near the Indonesian archipelago.   Alongside this, an Admiral Chronicle featuring the new Grade S Admiral 'Helen Raspberry' has been unveiled. Playing through the Chronicle allows players to hire the Grade A Mate 'Antonio Malatesta', and visiting the Inn after completing the Chronicle in full allows players to hire the Grade S Mate 'Louise de Beaujoyeulx'.   In addition, the Grade S Mate 'Giacomo Decampania' and the Grade S season Mate 'Marzin Rouge' have appeared, and two new Grade 27 ships, the 'La Couronne' and the 'Wither', have been added. A Transcendence Tier 3 update has also been implemented for Grade S mate growth; mates who complete Tier 3 Transcendence receive a significant increase to their max level and can unlock a 'Transcendence Effect'.   Furthermore, Grade S parts can now be upgraded into Luxury Parts, the Max Company LV has been expanded from 110 to 115, and convenience and balance improvements have been implemented.   A range of celebratory events marking Uncharted Waters Origin's 4th anniversary of its Korean launch and the opening of Investment Season 7 will run through September 8. First, completing the login event allows players to obtain a variety of rewards, including the 4th anniversary ship 'Starlight Gala' and the ship appearance part '4th Anniversary Starry Night'.   The 'Starlit Voyage Board', a dice-based event, is also being held. Players can roll the dice using 'Starlight Coins' to obtain 'Blue Thread', which can be used to produce the 'Starry Map', and depending on the number of full laps completed on the board, players can obtain a 'Legendary Winning Bid Selection Ticket' that lets them choose an Auction House part.   A variety of events for new and returning players are also taking place. LINE Games' Uncharted Waters Origin Hosts 'Rose Garden Event' Through July 7

  June 11, 2026 – LINE Games (co-CEOs  Cho Dong Hyun and  Bae Yeong Jin), in collaboration with KOEI TECMO GAMES (CEO  Koinuma Hisashi) and Motif (CEO  Lee In), has launched the 'Rose Garden Event' along with a content update in the open-world MMORPG Uncharted Waters Origin.   The 'Rose Garden' Event runs until July 7, and players can participate simply by logging into the game. First, through the 'Rose Garden Invitation' event, players who log in for 7 days during the event period can obtain 'Garden Shears', the dice item usable on the 'Rose Garden Game Board'.   Players can use their 'Garden Shears' to participate in the 'Rose Garden Game Board', obtaining 'Hidden Chests' as board rewards, which can then be used as materials in the game's 'Production' feature to obtain the high-value trade good 'Black Rose Air Freshener'. 'Rose Tokens' are provided as the reward for completing a full lap around the board, and these can be used as materials in Production to obtain the top-tier parts item 'Rose Scent Blender'.   The 'Great Merchant's Supply Route Event' will also run concurrently through the 23rd. During the event period, players can choose a faction and participate in achievement-based missions and the Trade Competition.
