LINE Games Launches Major ‘Starwalker’ Season Update for Hack-and-Slash Title UNDECEMBER

  May 9, 2025 – Seoul, South Korea – LINE Games, in partnership with developer Needs Games, today announced the launch of UNDECEMBER’s newest season update, titled Starwalker.   This substantial update brings a variety of new gameplay systems, expanded progression mechanics, and exciting in-game events to the hit hack-and-slash action RPG.   Headlining the Starwalker update is “Wheel of Fate,” a new single-player feature where players advance through a constellation-shaped map filled with randomized Chaos Dungeon nodes. Reaching the center of the board may trigger a boss encounter with the powerful Starlight Guardian, who drops exclusive rewards including a new Link Rune and Artifact upon defeat.   The update also introduces a Gear Synthesis system, allowing players to combine materials earned from Wheel of Fate using a new Astrologer NPC. This system offers a chance to craft advanced gear, including the newly added endgame 2-Handed Sword.   Two new Skill Runes, Lightning Slash and Flash, expand combat strategies. Lightning Slash chains lightning damage between enemies, while Flash delivers rapid strikes along a charging path. These can be further empowered with the new Link Rune “Iai-jutsu”, designed to amplify attack damage.   UNDECEMBER's difficulty and progression systems have also been reworked:   Monster level cap increased to 170   Chaos Dungeon now features a new level structure, capping at Level 40   A newly revamped Unpicked Ranking System selects top players based on highest DPS with non-overlapping skills. LINE Games Announces Hack & Slash UNDECEMBER’s New Season ‘Trials of Power’ Update!

  [January 10, 2025] The hack-and-slash action RPG 'UNDECEMBER', serviced by LINE Games and developed by NEEDS GAMES, released a new season ‘Trials of Power’ update.   The new season, ‘Trials of Power,’ features new combat and growth content that allows users level up their characters even faster and stronger to enjoy various content along with gameplay convenience improvements.   First of all, the new season presents a solo content, ‘Arena.’ In Arena, users can battle against several monsters including powerful monsters such as ‘Ectasis’ and ‘Manticore,’ that drop the new growth material called ‘Soul Stone’ to enhance the character even stronger.   In addition, an event stage, ‘Help! Through this update, ‘Arena’ is added where new episodes unfold, along with the newly added Chaos Dungeon event, ‘Help! Hunters!’ In addition, ‘Solo Descent Raid’ and ‘Zodiac Specialization’ are improved, and other content updates are made with gameplay convenience improvements. Additionally, UNDECEMBER celebrates its 3 years of service with update celebration rewards including high-class items including ‘Zodiac Sprinter’ and 3,333,333 Golds for a month from January 9th to February 6th, and distributes 3 Year Anniversary Pet Coupons.   ■ New content in UNDECEMBER’s new season ‘Trials of Power’ update 1. ‘Arena’ where the power is proved     In the new season ‘Trials of Power,’ new solo content ‘Arena’ is introduced. From playing the content, users can face the strong enemies, monsters and bosses, and obtain the newly added Growth-type Gear, ‘Soul Stone.’ Users are able to obtain ‘Spirits,’ tickets to enter the ‘Arena,’ from hunting in Chaos Dungeons, and use the ‘Spirits’ to strengthen monsters appearing in the ‘Arena’ and summon powerful bosses. Treasure Chests are spawned based on the number of areas activated and bosses summoned by using ‘Spirits’ and the score. It is important to make use of the spirits as the number of reward item drops increases by far according to the grade of the Treasure Chests.   In the ‘Arena,’ a creature that is made to project the Ancient Being, ‘Ectasis,’ appears as the first boss. Ectasis features poison attacks using colorful pollen, and ranged attacks using its thorns and tentacles.   The final boss of ‘Arena’ of New Season, ‘Manticore,’ has an upper body of a gorilla and a lower body of the Ancient Being, resembling a chimera, and alternately uses fire and poison attacks with heavier strikes.   2. New Growth-type Gear ‘Soul Stone’     The newly added Growth-type Gear, ‘Soul Stone,’ can be obtained in the new solo content ‘Arena.’ The characters will have a new Gear slot open for equipping a Soul Stone, and be able to enhance the ‘Soul Stone’ by increasing its level and expanding the slots using the exclusive Essence obtained from Arena.   Option stats of the ‘Soul Stone’ are applied as values that increase per level. Therefore, enchanting the Soul Stone with exclusive Essences gradually enables the powerful growth of the Soul Stone. The ‘Soul Stone’ has a trigger option to summon a monster minion by chance that casts a skill under certain conditions, allowing the users build the strategical skill sets.   3. Purify the Souls! “Help! Hunters!”     A stage event ‘Help! Hunters!’ is held in Chaos Dungeons from January 9 to February 6 to celebrate the ‘Trials of Power’ update.   Users can obtain ‘Ashes’ while playing the Chaos Dungeon, and convert the ‘Chaos Card’ in possession to ‘Ash-covered Chaos Card.’ By using the ‘Ash-covered Card’ to play the Chaos content, event currencies are dropped that can be used to exchange for various items such as ‘Essences’ and ‘Unique Chests.’   Meanwhile, the event stage features a group of ghosts envisioned to mirror the game’s developers such as ‘Overworked Planner’ and ‘Anxious Programmer,’ providing the users of UNDECEMBER with more exciting fun.   4. ‘Zodiac Specialization’ revamp to ensure the new fun in combats With the new season update, effects and mechanisms of the ‘Zodiac Specialization’ traits are revamped. To differentiate the Specialization from the normal Zodiac Traits, several new effects are added such as Weapon Range Increase through Enlargement, and other traits are improved to provide the users with the fun of making different builds. The Zodiac Specialization traits will go through more improvements on future updates.   5. Other content updates and convenience improvements   There are updates on the previously serviced content and improvements to increase the gameplay convenience alongside the addition of new content.   First, ‘Solo Descent Raid’ is improved, and a feature to display all nodes of Zodiac traits is added. In addition, a function to save the triggered event in the Chaos Dungeon is introduces, and price adjustments are made to items in Disassemble Shop.   Growth support for new users of the game is also provided.
